HSA has a new robotics club, Golden Tiercelet. Golden Tiercelets joined FIRST Tech Challenge robotics as team #13020. Hawks Win at TechCorps Hackathon

More than 200 high school students participated in TechCorps annual Mobile App Development hackathon at Capital University on Saturday, Nov. 9. Our three students, Paula, Yahya, and Rodney, got the chance to participate in this event and 2 of them won prizes (recognition certificates, cash prizes, and other gifts) for building the “winning app”.

OSU Women in Dentistry Visits HSA

On Thursday, 2/28/19, Ohio State’s Women in Dentistry group came to Horizon and spoke to members of the HOSA student association. This was a wonderful opportunity for our students to be able to talk with future dentists about not only the field, but also the path to graduating and becoming licensed.

CYSP Dayton Trip

Our CYSP team has had a trip to the Sinclair Community college and the University of Dayton with 49 students and 7 mentors ( Ms.Hicks, Mr.Meydan, Mrs.Barutcu, Mrs.Rumeysa, Mrs.Rhymer, and Mr.Farah).
