A team of our students has been working on a project which requires us to make some researches near the edge of the space. For this purpose, they have successfully launched the balloon carrying many sensors and experiments, on Thursday, Oct. 25. The balloon was launched from the Madison County airport, and traveled about 100 miles in the horizontal direction, and reached a height of over a 101,000 ft, where it burst and fell down until it reached Pike Township into a cornfield of a nice family who granted us the permission to retrieve it.
