Ohio’s College Credit Plus program offers students in grades 7-12 the chance to earn college credit from any Ohio public college or participating private college while earning high school credit for each college course, if the student qualifies academically. All associated costs are free to qualified students seeking credit from public colleges. There may be limited costs for students seeking credit from private institutions.

College Credit Plus Parent Information Night Draws A Big Crowd of HSA Parents and Students

On Tuesday, January 24th, 2017, Horizon Science Academy Columbus High School hosted an information night on College Credit Plus(CC+). Michele Brown, College Credit Plus Program Director at the Ohio State University informed almost 200 HSA parents and students about how to earn college credits at no cost while our students are still at high school. Mr. Brown highlighted the importance of taking college credits, eligibility requirements, CC+ application process, and social & academic environment at the OSU. He also mentioned the potential risks of the program. HSA parents and students stayed after the presentation to talk to their college counselors.
